Sewing Techniques 3 – Darts & Tucks

This class will cover several important structural elements in sewing a garment.  Darts and tucks allow flat fabric to contour the body creating fitted garments.  They are most commonly found on bodices, skirts and sleeves. 

This class is perfect for anyone that has some sewing experience and wants to add to their sewing knowledge.  It is also suitable for beginners however completing Sewing Techniques 1 and Sewing Techniques 2 is recommended. 

The class covers the following:

• Fitted Pleat
  
• Box Pleat
  
• knife Pleat
  
• Godet
  

Sewing machines, tools and materials are provided for in class work.  The information covered in the class will also be provided in written and or email form at the end of the class.
